2 workers caught stealing P160,000 worth of wires

CEBU, Philippines - Two factory workers were arrested for allegedly stealing P160,000 worth of copper wires from Oceanworld Plastic in Barangay Banilad, Mandaue City Saturday morning.

Suspects Arnel Ochea, 23, and Junive Ponce, 22, are stay-in workers of the company. 

Oceanworld Plastic owner Mariano So allegedly caught the two in the act of stealing the copper wires from the firm’s transformer.

So turned them over to Mandaue City Police Station 4 in barangay Casuntingan.

Their alleged cohorts Junjun Huizo, 22, Bernard Parlasin, 19, and Mark Buoyaban, 24, remain at large.

Ochea and Ponce are now detained while police are preparing proper charges against them.
