CEBU, Philippines - Tell the truth now, Annabelle…
Showbiz personality and talent manager Annabelle Rama guested during yesterday’s “Don’t Lie to Me” segment of GMA-7’s Showbiz Central —where guests are strapped to a polygraph machine and asked controversial questions— and was asked about her political ambitions.
When asked if she will be running in the Cebu north district next year by talk show host John Lapus, Rama first answered “pinagdadasal at pinag-iisipan ko pa ngayon,” instead of answering the usual “Yes” or “No”.
She eventually said she was not ready to run in next year’s elections but the polygraph yielded a LIE judgment.
Rama said most of her children and loved ones are against her plan to run for the congressional seat of the Cebu north district.
Lapus then rephrased the question, asking whether or not she was ready for the coming elections and she replied “no” but the polygraph again assessed her answer as a lie.
Lapus said he was surprised Rama answered “no” because they have been hearing rumors already that the latter was really eager to run for office.
Alam namin talagang takbong takbo ka na for the elections next year,” he said to Rama during the show.
Before the “interrogation” started, Rama greeted the people in the Cebu North District.
“Sa mga kababayan ko sa Cebu North District, hello po sa inyong lahat!” she said before being strapped in.
She even told Lapus prior to the start of the show that she was confident to ace the polygraph test.
She also confirmed that among all her children, she was most afraid of Raymond Gutierrez, the twin of Richard Gutierrez, which was a shocking revelation because most of the people thought it would be Ruffa.
She also confirmed that she gets more commission on her showbiz talents because some of the percentage of her commission will go to the payments for the different lessons that her wards will have.
She added that she will study as part of her preparation if ever she will push through with her plans to run for office.
Lapuz then quipped “Congresswoman Annabelle Rama” sounds good to hear just like other celebrity congresswomen, Lucy Torres-Gomez and Lani Mercado among others.
