MANILA, Philippines - The Cebu Provincial Police Office bested six other police offices in Central Visayas in terms of accomplishments last month.
Based on the records released by the Regional Operation and Plans Division of the Police Regional Office-7, CPPO had the most number of positive operations against illegal drugs, illegal gambling and illegal possession of firearms.
The records show that CPPO has a total of 42 positive operations against loose firearms in April. It was followed by the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) with 26 operations and the Negros Provincial Police Office (NPPO) with 22.
CPPO also ranked first in the campaign against illegal drugs with 36 positive operations, CCPO comes next with 34, and the Bohol Provincial Police Office with 17.
For operations against illegal gambling CPPO had 27, CCPO had 17 and Bohol 14.
Sr. Insp. Ramoncelio Sawan, deputy chief of the ROPD, said the top performing police offices will receive commendation.
CPPO director Sr. Supt. Patrocinio Comendador said the rating will serve as their motivation to do more.
“I would like to emphasize nga dili lang kutob sa award but to let us do more by strengthening our operations,” Comendador said.
Comendador said they wanted to remain consistent with their accomplishment despite the challenges. He also thanked his personnel for a job well done.
Meanwhile, over 5,000 policemen in the region are expected to receive cash incentives for performing well in the recent performance audit conducted by the Regional Personnel and Human Resources and Development Division (RPHRDD).
Of the 5,974 PNP personnel evaluated 5,942 got a very satisfactory rating last year which will entitle them to a P2,000 cash incentive.
There were 26 personnel who got very satisfactory rating for the first semester (January to June) but only got satisfactory rating in the second semester. They will received P1,500. Those who got satisfactory rating for the two semesters will get P1,000. — (FREEMAN)
