Cebu site of Quota int'l conference

CEBU, Philippines - The Quota International of Metro Cebu (QIMC) will host the QUOTA 18th District Conference (41st District of Quota International, Inc.) from April 26 to 29, 2012 at Marco Polo Plaza Hotel with the theme “Through Quota We Can”.

QUOTA Conference will be graced by the presence of Quota International, Inc. President, Chris Tracey-Pattey, South Pacific Liaison, Beris Pritchard and over one hundred attendees from local QUOTA clubs in the Philippines. Activities include leadership training seminars, panel-discussions and lectures from keynote speakers.

Local clubs will also update the members on their numerous activities for the past two years in line with the organization’s Mission and Vision. Awards and recognition will be handed out to local QUOTA clubs who showed exemplary performance in the various categories outlined by QUOTA International Inc. during the said convention. Furthermore, there will be a business meeting and session with the delegates from the local clubs as well.

Then on Fellowship Night, QUOTA members will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in ballroom dancing. This is one of the most awaited events in the entire convention.

Every year, QUOTA International Inc. 41st District holds its District Conference.

Quota International Inc., members serve global and local communities. It was founded in 1919 as the first international service organization for women, Quota today includes men and women in clubs throughout North America, South America, the Caribbean, the South Pacific, Southeast Asia, and Europe. Its motto, “We Share,” leads them to help and encourage others, while developing friendships and promoting international understanding. The group is known especially for their service to disadvantaged women and children and to people with disabilities (hearing and speech-impaired) QIMC is currently engaged in various projects involving six Special Education Centers within Cebu City namely: Bulacao, Barrio Luz, Don Vicente Rama, Labangon, San Nicolas and Zapatera as well as the disadvantaged women in Kahupayan Center (Crisis Intervention Center for Women and Children). (FREEMAN)
