Woman shoots self
CEBU, Philippines - A woman allegedly attempted to commit suicide because of jealousy at Sabellano St , Barangay Poblacion Pardo, Cebu City last Tuesday night.
Jonalyn Abelgas, 26, said that her live-in partner, Ruth Rivera, was jealous over someone and so they had an argument.
Rivera pulled a gun from a cabinet inside her room and pointed it on her right temple.
Abelgas begged her to stop but Rivera pulled the trigger. Abelgas shouted for help.
The stepmother of Rivera, who was living near the area, brought Rivera to the Cebu City Medical Center accompanied by tanods. Rivera was reported to be in critical condition as of Tuesday night.
Police retrieved from the crime scene a homemade revolver, an empty shell, a live bullet and a deformed slug. — (FREEMAN)
