Two men held up in Argao, Sibonga
CEBU, Philippines - Two people were victimized by two unidentified men on Monday in successive robbery incidents in the towns of Argao and Sibonga.
The first victim is a lending collector in Sibonga town while the other victim is a salesman in Argao.
About 3:30 pm, Raymond Pallo, 20, of Camella Homes, Talisay City reported to the police a hold-up incident in Sitio Dumlog, Barangay Simala, Sibonga.
Pallo, a lending collector, alleged that he was collecting cash at the place without knowing that robbers were just keeping an eye at him.
PO3 Franklin Gako of the Sibonga Police Station said Pallo was about to embark on his Honda XRM motorcycle bearing 3427YD when robbers approached. It was the man in pillion who aimed an unknown caliber of firearm at him, demanding for the cash.
Out of fear, Pallo handed over his P2,000. This did not satisfy the robbers for they also took the victim’s motorcycle and fled to Argao town.
Less than an hour later, Antonio Panerio Gialon, 38, a salesman of the Kritzland Marketing based in Argao reported the same incident to the Argao Police Station.
Gialon said he has just received the P10,000 cash from his customer in Barangay Guiwanon after he delivered soft drinks when he was held up.
The description of the robbers was the same as given by Pallo.
PO2 Manuelito Abrenica of the Argao police Station said Gialon parked his delivery van not far from the Ongking Store where he was delivering soft drinks. Two men on board a motorcycle wearing full-faced helmets arrived and aimed a gun at Abrenica while demanding for the cash.
Gialon was surprised but before he could react, the man in pillion grabbed the cash from him and the two sped off toward Barangay Taloot, Argao.
Policemen of the two police stations are now coordinating with each other for the possible identification and arrest of the robbers. - Ria Mae Y. Booc/JMO (THE FREEMAN)
