Gullas scion tops Med Tech exam
CEBU, Philippines - A grandson of Cebu first district Representative Eduardo Gullas topped the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission this month.
Vincent Edouard Anthony (Dandan) Retardo Gullas of Velez College bagged the top spot with the score of 92 percent. The family owns the University of the Visayas.
Another Cebu school graduate, Nikki Gigi Aytona Legaspi of Southwestern University, placed second in the examination with a score of 89.30 percent.
Ann Gullas, mother of Vincent Edouard Anthony, said her son has always been a top student since elementary. She said he topped his high school class at the Ateneo de Manila University.
“Wala ko kahibalo unsa akong gibati. Nagkurog ko human ko nakadungog nga mi-top siya sa exam (I just don’t know what I feel. I was shaking after hearing the news that he topped the exam),” she said.
She said Vincent Edouard Anthony, who graduated magna cum laude from Velez College, is preparing to study medicine.
She said that Vincent Edouard Anthony and his father will be flying to Manila to process papers for his proper medicine studies at the University of Santo Tomas.
“I will hug and kiss him to congratulate him,” she said.
Trixia Marie Ellado and Trina Ibis, both of Saint Louis University, placed third and fourth respectively, while Dale Ivan Bruel of Adventist University of the Philippines got the fifth place.
At sixth place is Franz Lenard Barreto of Remedios T. Romualdez Medical Foundation while Abigail Laus of Angeles University Foundation bagged the seventh place.
Kathlene Joy Labrador of Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation got the eighthplace while Glaselle Joy Bendol of Notre Dame of Marbel University placed ninth.
Another Adventist University of the Philippines graduate, Shannen Kaye Apolinario, placed 10th together with Gayle Ivon Bonzo of University of Perpetual Help System Dalta-Las Piñas. (FREEMAN)
