CEBU, Philippines - Senator Manuel Villar will speak today on political leadership and his rise from poverty to where he is today.
Villar is today’s speaker in the second leg of the University of the Visayas Leadership Lecture Series at the Cebu Country Club.
Students from the different universities as well as public officials are expected to attend the lecture. UV president and First District Rep. Eduardo Gullas said the program is free as it is aimed at giving the public the chance to know the personal experiences of the leaders in various fields.
Senate president Juan Ponce Enrile also spoke in the same forum earlier. He was the first speaker of the series.
Department of Transportation and Communication Secretary Mar Roxas, Archbishop emeritus of Cebu Ricardo Cardinal Vidal, Vice President Jejomar Binay, and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao are also slated for the said lecture series in the coming months. (FREEMAN)
