CEBU, Philippines - A security guard was killed by an unidentified assailant who opened fire at him while on his post at a gasoline station along Natalio Bacalso Avenue in Barangay Labangon yesterday dawn.
Gregorio Servidor, 35, resident of Lower Sampaguita, Barangay Banilad, Mandue City, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in various parts of his body.
Servidor of Palm Kris Security Services sustained eight gunshot wounds in his upper back portion of the body causing his death.
Arnel Plenas, 25, pump boy, said he was having a nap few meters away from the victim when he heard of the multiple gunshots. Plenas said he scampered to seek for cover.
When the shooting stopped he saw Servidor already lying on the ground soaked with his own blood.
Homicide investigators are facing a blank wall in their investigation because nobody saw the culprit. The police however recovered two empty shells and two slugs of a 9-millimeter.
The police also retrieved the victim’s Caliber .38 revolver loaded with five rounds of ammunition.
Homicide investigator Alex Dacua said they are looking at personal grudge as possible motive of the killing. The police ruled out the possibility of a robbery attempt. (FREEMAN)
