CEBU, Philippines - The Bureau of Customs (BOC) will be celebrating its 110th Founding Anniversary today.
In line with this event, the BOC will honor by giving service awards to 77 personnel, 12 of whom are from the Port of Cebu and at the Sub-port of Mactan, for being in the service for more than 30 years.
BOC Deputy Commissioner Juan Lorenzo Tanada, in his Customs Personnel Order No. A-26-2012, said these personnel are required to attend the joint flag raising ceremony at the Port of Manila grounds in order to receive their respective Retiree Achievement Award.
The Port of Cebu awardees are led by assessment chief Carlos Corsiga. The rest are Remedios Filomeno, Geogina Gozo, Alexander Cabagnot, Alexander Perez, Rosita Rubio, Rodolfo Avendano and Jose Franklin Camingue.
The awardees at the sub-port of Mactan are Arnulfo Ravelo, Wilfredo Cui, Alejandro Mar and Danilo Lagnada.
BOC district collector Ronnie Silvestre said that the anniversary celebration will only be in Manila. —(FREEMAN)
