DOLE sets 3 job fairs for 1st quarter of 2012 Good news for jobseekers!

CEBU, Philippines - The Department of Labor and Employment has outlined several job fairs in ten regions of the country, including Cebu for the first quarter of the year.

DOLE secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz in a statement said that those who are in search for jobs may now do so at their own communities.

For Region VII, three areas were designated for the jobs fair.

The first jobs fair will be held at the Panfil B. Frasco Sports Complex-Kai Gym in Liloan, Cebu on February 11.

Another job fair will be held on February 16 at the Cebu Normal University Campus, Cebu City while a third will be conducted on February 25 at the Sports Complex of Catmon, Cebu.

Baldoz added that the schedule of the job fairs are already available at the online site of the Phil-Jobnet, or http://phil.job-net, which is linked to the DOLE website, www.dole.gov.ph; to the Bureau of Local Employment website, www.ble.dole.gov.ph; to the website of the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns, www.bwsc.dole.gov.ph; and to the website of the TESDA, www.tesda.gov.ph.

The Bureau of Local Employment, a service agency of the DOLE which hosts the Phil-Jobnet, has reported to Baldoz that the job fairs schedule was set by the DOLE regional offices and Public Employment Service Offices in cooperation with private sector employers and other DOLE partners.

Apart from Region VII, the regions which have scheduled their first quarter job fairs are the National Capital Region, Regions 2, 4-A, 5, 6, 9, 11, 12, and the Cordillera Administrative Region.   - (THE FREEMAN)
