CEBU, Philippines - An Information Technology administrator lost around P70,000 cash to two unidentified men who robbed him last Tuesday at about 2:30 in the afternoon.
Joel Soriano Viagedor, 28, of Barangay Poblacion failed to resist the demand of one of the armed robbers.
Viagedor said that he was walking along the National Highway of Barangay Guinsay, Danao City carrying a brown envelope containing P63,000 and $275 when he was blocked by unidentified men on board a Honda Wave motorcycle without a plate number.
He added that the man riding in pillion disembarked from the motorcycle and held him up at gunpoint leaving him no choice but to surrender the cash.
PO1 Faron Abela, of the Danao Police Station, said that the money was supposed to be the salary for workers of the Philippine Contract Furniture Resources located in the same barangay.
Viagedor admitted that he has been doing this for about three years now and it was the first time that he was held up by unidentified men who were wearing hooded jackets.
“Ingon ana na gyud na siya sukad sa una unya maglakaw lang paingon sa factory,” Abela told The FREEMAN over the phone.
Since both robbers did not wear a mask, Viagedor was invited by the police to check their rogue’s gallery to determine the identity of both he found none that matched the features of the two men.
