CEBU, Philippines - The Dynamic Youth, Inc. is once again organizing the Su Qing Festival which will be held at the Chinese Chamber of Commerce Building today as it reaches out even more by opening up the event to schools offering optional Chinese.
The event will feature activities including an art contest open to students enrolled in Grades 1-3, a story-telling contest for students from Grades 4-6 and a singing contest for high school students.
Last year, the Cebu Dynamic Youth also organized an interschool Chinese cultural activity targeting the Cebuano-Chinese youth with participants from schools in the city that offer the Chinese curriculum.
The organization’s objectives include uniting the Filipino-Chinese youth, strengthening the organization’s impact on respective communities through service and inculcating Chinese cultural heritage through various activities and events as well as develop camaraderie among members through sports and recreation.
