Househelp hides stolen jewelry in private part

- Ria Mae Y. Booc -

CEBU, Philippines - A female househelp was arrested by the police in Consolacion Wednesday morning for stealing over P100,000 worth of jewelry from her employers.

Vilma Aying, 39, of Carmen, Cebu was placed under arrest after the several pieces of jewelry were recovered stashed in her private part.

Nestor and Librada Francisco of Windfield Subdivision in Barangay Danlag Consolacion reported to the police about their missing jewelry.

The Franciscos were suspicious of their househelp because nobody gets into their room except the suspect. They have also noticed something unusual with Aying, especially in how she walks.

Librada said she discovered the missing pieces of jewelry when she asked the suspect to get her pair of earrings in her jewelry box. According to Librada, the suspect told her that she did not find the earrings in the box prompting her to check.

To her surprise, the pair of earrings worth P18,000 was already gone. Aside from the earrings, two gold necklaces worth P36,000; two gold rings worth P54,000 and one gold bracelet worth P16,000 were also missing.

“Nagduda nako daan kay siya ra man gyud ang didto unya wa man gyuy laing manghilabot,” Librada said.

The couple invited the suspect to the police station where she was interrogated. During investigation the suspect denied stealing the jewelry.

However, the police were also suspicious of her because she could not walk properly. Aying was ordered to take off her clothes including her underwear in the comfort room together with the victim.

It was found out that the suspect placed the stolen pieces of jewelry in a sock and hides it inside her private part. Aying was immediately arrested and will be charged for qualified theft.  (FREEMAN)
