CEBU, Philippines - The DILAAB movement has launched a competition to come up with a mascot to represent LASER, the mechanism that they use to help voters discern during elections.
LASER which stands for Lifestyle, Action, Supporters, Election Conduct and Reputation, was the mechanism that Dilaab Foundation, Inc. shared through its Circles of Discernment for Empowerment- Elections or CiDE-E program.
In a meet-up session, DILAAB presented the Mascot-Design Contest for all interested artists nationwide.
The design contest aims for the organization to have a representation or trademark that will easily be remembered by the public and at the same time, will easily reach out to the people.
Young artists interested in joining the competition attended the session and were encouraged to invite other artists.
The mascot design contest has no age-limit and is even encouraging artists not just from Cebu but all over the Philippines.
The LASER mascot is expected to be fun, smart, competent, creative, resourceful, mature, lovable and a servant leader with proven integrity that has a “pusong Pinoy.”
DILAAB wants the LASER mascot to be used as a form of communication, activation and interaction as part of their preparation for the upcoming elections on year 2013.
“The LASER mascot could become every God-fearing Filipino’s alter-ego when choosing the right leaders for our beloved country. Post elections, the ‘Laser’ mascot will further accompany every Pinoy towards ensuring continued good governance, responsible leadership and citizenship,” DILAAB’s statement said.
All entries must be submitted to the organization’s Facebook page. Winners will be chosen through liking the designs.
