CEBU, Philippines - A policeman is facing possible dismissal from the service after indiscriminately firing his gun yesterday at uptown Cebu.
PO1 Eduardo Seno, 37, who is assigned at the Regional Headquarters Support Group at Police Regional Office 7, was alleged to have indiscriminately fired his gun after a heated argument with his live-in partner yesterday at 9 a.m.
Seno reportedly had a heated argument with his live-in partner, Jennylyn Navaja because of an alleged affair with another woman.
Navaja said that on Friday evening, they had an argument after she saw Seno with another woman, driving the motorcycle which she only loaned to Seno because he was her lover.
Seno reportedly got drunk while arguing with Navaja which prompted her to steal Seno’s gun for fear that he might go berserk with the said firearm.
He then reported the incident to Fuente Police Station where Navaja returned Seno’s gun and temporarily settled their crisis.
But yesterday, Seno allegedly had another heated argument with his live-in partner which resulted to the indiscriminate firing.
Following the incident, Navaja’s neighbors immediately reported the shooting to the Sambag 2 Barangay hall which relayed the report to Fuente Police Station.
Police operatives from Fuente Police Station, Mobile Patrol Group, and the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) immediately responded to the shooting incident.
Seno was apprehended near their residence but the policeman denied allegations that he fired his gun. No firearm was recovered from the suspect.
Navaja revealed that Seno is her third relationship with a policeman after two of her previous lovers died leaving her to feed five children.
She also said that she is done with Seno, adding she no longer want to be with him after the incident which threatened her and their neighbors. She also will no longer filed charges against Seno.
Seno was brought to Cebu City Medical Center where he was tested positive in the liquor test. He will stay behind bars until Monday. (FREEMAN)
