Man shot by Crips members
CEBU, Philippines - Following several gang-related-violence last month, another innocent life falls victim to the Bloods versus Crips feud which wounded one in Greenbelt Drive, Barangay Quiot, Cebu City on Wednesday morning.
Christopher Paran, 21, of the said barangay, sustained a lone gunshot wound on his back after two men open fired at him and three of his friends at around 11:40 p.m.
The gunmen were identified as Mark Anthony Villegas of Alaska, Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City who was with a certain “Rex,” both are alleged members of the Crips gang.
Witnesses said Paran was with his friends, Gerard “Kim-kim” Dacule, 18, a 17-year-old male, and a certain “Junior” to buy liquor at a nearby store.
While on their way to the store, the group allegedly saw the two suspects approaching them with an unidentified handgun.
Upon seeing the gun, the group ran to escape the approaching armed suspects.
Villegas allegedly opened fire and hit Paran, then immediately fled.
Dacule rushed the bloodied victim to Cebu City Medical Center for treatment.
Elements of Pardo Police Station conducted a hot pursuit operation but the two assailants have already fled.
Cebu City Police Office homicide investigator SPO4 Rey Cuyos told The FREEMAN that the gunman was aiming at Junior who is believed to be a member of the rival Bloods gang. (FREEMAN)
