CEBU, Philippines - Liloan police nabbed an alleged big-time drug pusher last Sunday inside his rented house in sitio Kawayanan, Barangay Yati, Liloan.
After two weeks of surveillance, Ronald Wagas Sitoy, 28, of Barangay Jubay was immediately handcuffed by the police serving a search warrant for violation of RA 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 1972 .
The warrant was issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 28 Judge Marilyn Lagura-Yap on August 25.
Confiscated from Sitoy were two rolled tin foils, two cellular phones, one unit paltik bull barrel .38 revolver placed inside a black plastic bag, one paltik snub-nosed homemade .38 revolver, 11 pieces of ammunition and an empty shell of the same caliber.
Police also recovered a black handbag where the large pack of shabu was found as well as P3,097 cash of different denominations believed to be proceeds of shabu.
Liloan police investigator Senior Police Officer 2 Marcelino Servilla classified Sitoy as a level two drug pusher but he cannot determine how much shabu the suspect could dispose in a week.
Sitoy was allegedly operating in Barangay Jubay and extended his operations to Barangay Yati and even to the towns of Compostela and Consolacion.
“Dako iyang area kay dako na man gani kung usa ra imo ka baranggay samot na nga tulo ka municipalities,” Servilla said.
Based on the information of the asset, Servilla served as one of the pushers of a certain Jaguar, who is from Cebu City and an alleged drug lord.
Charges for violation of RA 9165 and RA 8294 or illegal possession of firearms and ammunition will be filed tomorrow at the Regional Trial Court in Danao City. - (THE FREEMAN)
