Benhur to bring job agency to 4th district

-

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu fourth district Rep. Benhur Salimbangon is set to bring tomorrow to his district a placement agency in search of 3,000 qualified applicants for overseas jobs.

Salimbangon called on his constituents to attend the job fair tomorrow to be held at the Mayor Artemio Masbate Sr. Sports Complex in San Remigio town.

He said that if necessary, he will ask for the extension until Monday to have the job fair in his district.

Representatives of Concept Placement Resources Inc. will be conducting on-site interview for applicants who wish to work in Europe and in the Middle East.

This will be the second time Salimbangon, in partnership with the Rotary Club, will bring in a placement agency to conduct a job fair. This time, Salimbangon said that most of the available positions are technical jobs for construction works in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, India and Europe.

Qualified applicants will be deployed to three big companies.

The job fair is part of Salimbangon’s commitment to provide employment to his constituents.

Salimbangon is encouraging his constituents to take up technical courses with the Technical Education Skills and Development Administration so they can easily find job abroad.

He has been helping TESDA in improving its facilities in the training centers in Medellin and Daanbantayan so students no longer have to go to Cebu City to enroll.

He has also been providing scholarships for students enrolling in technical courses in TESDA and in some universities and colleges in Cebu. (FREEMAN)
