CEBU, Philippines - Employees of the provincial government are expected to receive their anniversary bonus anytime soon after the Provincial Board yesterday approved a supplemental budget stipulating the bonus amounting to P205.6 million.
Of the said amount, P193 million was allocated as general fund, which includes the P24 million for collective negotiation agreement (CNA) incentives.
Other amount includes the maintenance and operational expenses of different offices, 16 district hospitals and the Cebu South Bus Terminal.
Governor Gwendolyn Garcia submitted Supplemental Budget Number 2 to the Provincial Board last Friday and certified the same as urgent.
Garcia announced the incentives for the employees during the program of the province’s 442nd founding anniversary last August 6, which was attended by Capitol officials, department heads and employees.
Garcia announced cash bonuses up to P20,000 per employee to recognize the top performing departments and district hospitals based on the performance evaluation system.
Employees of offices rated “very satisfactory” will get a P20,000 cash incentive each while those whose offices were rated “satisfactory” will receive P15,000, an increase of P5,000 from last year’s incentives.
In addition, employees in the five top-performing Capitol offices will receive P15,000 for first place; P12,000; P10,000; P8,000 and P7,000 for second to fifth place, respectively. - (THE FREEMAN)
