MCWD, condo developer sign MOA on water supply

CEBU, Philippines - The Metropolitan Cebu Water district has signed a memorandum of agreement yesterday with Majestic Legacy Development Corporation for the latter’s water supply once its condominium project is completed.

Majestic is the developer of Lot 8 Condominium located in Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City.

 Majestic president and chief executive officer Mario Lua said the 240-room, 16-story condominium will be completed in the fourth quarter of next year.

Earlier, Majestic had requested MCWD to allow it to source water from its water line.

Under the MOA, MCWD shall adequately supply Lot 8 with potable water. In the event of long service interruptions due to pipeline maintenance and any reasons other than force majeure, the water utility would provide water through truck delivery.

Aside from Lua, present during the MOA signing are MCWD general manager Armando Paredes, MCWD assistant general manager for operation Ernie Delco, MCWD legal chief Jeorge Cabriente, Majestic vice president for finance, Jocelyn Dy and Majestic corporate secretary Jessica Lua. — (FREEMAN)
