CPPO holds pre-annual general inspection

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Provincial Police Office is conducting a three-day Pre-Annual General Inspection and Operational Readiness Inspection Test and Evaluation to test the preparedness of the police officers in the province.

The exercise, which started yesterday and will end tomorrow, evaluates how each faction responds to any possible situation, said CPPO director Patrocinio Comendador.

“This is to evaluate the state of preparedness of the command, an operational readiness,” Comendador added.

The inspection includes checking on dress codes or uniforms of the police, cleanliness of every police stations, and police’s daily routines and functions.

Two teams consist of eight members from the CPPO headquarter are conducting the inspection of the various police stations in the northern and southern Cebu.

Chief Insp. Ali Baron, chief of the Provincial Public Safety Company, led the inspection of the different police stations in southern Cebu while Chief Insp. Alexander Soledad, chief of the Provincial Patrol Section, led the inspection in northern area.

Baron and Soledad will determine what other trainings the police officers lack and what possible problems the police encounter during operations so they could address them.

Meanwhile, Comendador revealed that during his surprise visits to different police stations in Cebu province, so far there were no major problems encountered.
