Cops in province undergo writing seminar
CEBU, Philippines - At least 80 police investigators from police stations in the province underwent a writing seminar last Friday purposely to enhance their skills in writing in the blotter, spot reports, and investigation reports.
The Police Investigator Report and Writing System Seminar was held at the Cebu Provincial Capitol.
Police Superintendent Teofilo Siclot, deputy provincial director for operation, said they decided to hold the seminar because several investigators still encounter problems as far as writing spot reports is concerned.
“Some dili pa kahibalo mosuwat, kahibalo man gani pero lisod pud sabton,” he said.
Recently, policemen in the province also underwent a seminar on photography during which they were taught, among others, how to take good angles when they document incidents or events using the camera.
Another seminar, this time on the proper turnover of cases to other investigators will also be conducted.
Siclot said the seminars are being conducted to augment existing skills of policemen in the area of investigation. He only hopes that the policemen will utilize what they learned from the seminars.
“They spent time and effort in attending the seminar so they better apply it,” Siclot said. — (FREEMAN)
