Trader denies link to embattled review center

- Jessica Ann R. Pareja -

CEBU, Philippines -  The management of Leylam Shawarma, a food cart business whose name was linked to a review center that swindled nautical students early this month, clarified that they are not related to Argo-Nautical Tutorial Services that closed last May 8.

Argo-Nautical Tutorial Services closed the day before the supposed start of the review classes. They took with them the money that the students paid, which was at least P14,000 each student.

The owner, Kenneth Erejer, could not be traced by the victims because in all his business records at the Licensing Division of the Cebu City Treasurer’s Office, the information about his residence was not indicated.

His business records also showed some inconsistencies because instead of a person’s name in the “Authorized Representative” portion, the name Leylam Shawarma was written.

To avoid the trouble of being linked with Erejer and his alleged bogus review center, Leylam Shawarma denied any connection with the review center. (FREEMAN)
