Koreans lose P200T cash, gadgets to burglar
CEBU, Philippines - A Korean national lost nearly P200,000 cash and assorted gadgets to an unidentified burglar who sneaked into her house while she and her family were asleep.
Lucy Park, 44, of in Doña Rita Village, Barangay Banilad told the police that she and her daughters discovered the burglary at 9:00 a.m. Sunday. The unidentified burglars gained entry into the house by detaching the jalousie blades of one of the windows.
Park said she lost her wallet which contained P60,000 and P17,000 worth of Korean money. The wallet also contained her Visa extension card. Another wallet containing P600 was also gone.
The family also lost an Apple dictionary worth P40,000, MP3 player worth P20,000, and cellular phone worth P15,000.
Meanwhile, another house in Peace Valley, Barangay Lahug was burglarized by still unidentified people.
Reynaldo and Mellissa Maniwang discovered at 1:00 p.m. Sunday that they have been burglarized. The couple lost P5,000 cash and P15,000 worth of white gold wedding ring. (FREEMAN)
