Color-coded IDs for City Hall visitors
CEBU, Philippines - Color-coded identification cards (IDs) will issued for visitors who will be entering the Cebu City Hall building starting next week.
City Hall consultant on peace and security Romeo Cordova said yellow ID’s will be issued for visitors who will be entering the executive building while blue ones are assigned for those transacting business at the legislative building.
In his letter to Human Resource Development Office yesterday, Cordova said 2,000 IDs are needed for the visiting public who will be entering the building.
He said he received instructions from City Mayor Michael Rama to beef up the security measures at the City Hall and set up an ID system for visitors.
Starting last Thursday, City Hall employees are not allowed to enter their respective offices if they are not wearing their City Government IDs.
The death of Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden triggered the strict implementation of the “No ID, No Entry” at the City Hall.
Mayor Rama said the policy has long been adopted but he wants it strictly enforced this time.
Rama wants the implementation of the “No ID, No Entry” policy to also cover people transacting business in City Hall. (FREEMAN)
