CEBU, Philippines - Three people were injured in separate shooting incidents in Cebu City last Friday and Saturday.
Habal-habal driver Rolly Tautohan, 38, and Fernan Jugadora, 33, are both in critical condition at the North General Hospital after they were shot by Howill Tumulak, 44, while sleeping inside a pigpen in Sitio Dita Barangay Pulangbato last Friday morning.
Ramil Apa, 36, said he saw Tumulak shot the sleeping victims using a caliber .45 pistol.
Tautohan sustained a gunshot wound on the left side of his body and on his left leg while Jugadora also suffered a shot on the left side of his body and on his left buttock.
Tumulak surrendered to Police Officer 2 Jojit Magdadaro of the Talamban Police Station after the incident. He turned over his .45 pistol with one empty magazine. Homicide investigator Alex Dacua said the suspect and the victims have a previous grudge over an illegal gambling locally called a “hantak”.
Meanwhile, Mark Contado, 19, of Salvador St., Barangay Labangon suffered gunshot wound on his left foot after an unknown person he bumped with at Tres de Abril Street yesterday noon shoot him.
The victim was on his way home after conveying his girlfriend for a PUJ ride when he accidentally bumped into the unidentified man. The man was allegedly holding a gun wrapped with a hand towel.
The unknown assailant immediately fled after the incident while the victim was rushed to Cebu City Medical Center.(FREEMAN NEWS)
