Leadership training for valedictorians

CEBU, Philippines - Valedictorians of secondary public schools in Cebu province will undergo a leadership training starting today, April 25 until April 27 at the Department of Education (DepEd) - 7 Ecotech Center in Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City.

The event is a joint activity of the DepEd-7 and the Cebu Provincial Government in order to impart among the students in the province the value of leadership and to prepare them for tougher academic challenges in their chosen fields of specialization.

DepEd-7 Director Recaredo Borgonia said the leadership training will be able to give the top students the qualities of being a good leader, an excellent nation builder, and sense of patriotism.

Borgonia shared they already have in their list more or less 200 valedictorians that will attend the program. He is advising the valedictorians to check in at the Ecotech at around 8:00 a.m. till 12:00 noon since the first activity will start at 2:00 p.m.

The DepEd-7 will shoulder the transportation and incidental expenses of the participants while the Province of Cebu will handle the accommodation, meals, and other expenses during the training. —(FREEMAN)
