Robbers take P49K from salesman
CEBU, Philippines - A driver and salesman lost his P49,000 earnings after he was robbed by two unidentified men after delivering soft drinks to an eatery in Barangay Tabok, Mandaue City, last Saturday afternoon.
Dante Laguna, 26, a resident of Barangay Maslog, Danao City, and an employee of Rule Marketing, together with his helper Jundy Librero, 20, of barangay Cansaga, Consolacion town, rushed to Police Station 3 in Barangay Basak right after the incident.
Laguna alleged that after they delivered softdrinks to the eatery one of the two men disembarked from a nearby motorcycle without a plate number.
The other man, who was driving the motorcycle, remained where he was while his passenger approached them saying “ambi na ang imong bag, kwarta lang amo.”
After Laguna hesitated the man pulled out a .38 cal. revolver and Laguna handed over his beltbag to the suspect with the P49,000 cash and his wallet containing his driver’s license and a cellular phone.
Customers in the nearby eatery who saw what was happening hurriedly ran for safety when the other robber on the motorcycle pulled out a .45 cal. pistol.
“Nanagan kuno ang mga nangaon pagkakita sa pagbunot sa armas kay diha ra man sa tungod,” PO3 Antonio Descartin said.
After the incident both suspects got back on the motorcycle and were last seen heading towards Consolacion town.
“Mora’g sila ray gibantayan ato unya gi-timing nga nanakay na sila una gitulis,” Descartin added. — (FREEMAN)
