“Salamat g’yud kaayo kay makadaginot na mi’g fuel kay dili na kaayo kami malangan sa pag-agi dinhi. Dugay g’yud tawon ang among pag-antos,” said PUJ driver Antonio Coliflores who was among the first drivers who passed by the flyover after it was opened at 11:30 a.m.

Rama advised the motorists, though, to be careful because there is a portion a curve portion near the Mambaling Elementary School which they considered as accident prone.

About 15 minutes before the opening, a shooting incident took place at the approach of the flyover near the CIT University.

A suspected snatcher shot and injured two persons who chased him after he snatched the cellphone of a certain Lovely Hubahib.

Felix Panugaling, 45, and Arsenio Hanggin, 47, both of Barangay Punta Princesa chanced upon the suspect Jeffrey Pulgo.
