CEBU, Philippines - A 24-year-old collector employee was killed after he was robbed and shot in Barangay Dapdap, San Remigio town, last Thursday.
Gilbert Montellano, single, a resident of Barangay Nailon, Bogo City, and an employee of Cooline General Merchandise in Barangay Gairan, Bogo City, was declared dead after being shot and robbed by an unidentified assailant around 3 p.m. in Barangay Dapdap, San Remigio Cebu.
According to the police, Montellano was traveling from Sitio Guintorihan heading to the Provincial Highway on his motorcycle when an unknown perpetrator shot him in the back.
Montellano suffered a single gunshot wound and was declared dead a few minutes later by the Municipal Health officer Dr. Edgardo Espinosa who went to the crime scene.
Police said stated that the bag and the wallet of the victim containing an estimated P10,000 was taken by the robber who escaped after the incident.
Recovered from the crime scene was the motorcycle of the victim, a cellular phone, his company ID, keys, a necklace of the victim and a single slug from a bullet of unknown caliber. (FREEMAN)
