CEBU, Philippines - Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and her brother, third district Rep. Pablo John Garcia, yesterday distributed vehicles to the municipalities of the district for the use of the barangays and the district hospitals.
The governor distributed multicabs to each of the 50 barangays in the third district and four district hospitals.
Seventeen multicabs were given to the Municipality of Barili, six to Aloguinsan, 14 to Toledo City, six to Balamban and seven to Asturias.
Barangay captains from other towns who are recipients of the multicabs were also present during the distribution held in Aloguinsan yesterday. The barangay officials have requested for vehicles from the governor.
The district hospitals of Barili, Pinamungajan, Balamban and Tuburan also received one multicab each.
Meanwhile, Pablo John promised Aloguinsan Mayor Augustus Caesar Moreno the amount of P1 million for tourism facility of the town especially that it has boost its community-based tourism in Bojo River.
Gwendolyn, in her speech, emphasized that Aloguinsan has been a sleeping town until the “evolution, growth, progress and popularity” were achieved. (FREEMAN NEWS)
