CEBU, Philippines - Unidentified people sneaked inside a dental office and an internet café and took cash and valuables early yesterday morning at San Jose Village, Barangay Tisa, Cebu City.
Christian Quiban, 28, and his mother, Victoria Quiban, 60, a dentist, reported to the Theft and Robbery Section that they lost valuables and an undetermined amount of money inside their establishments.
Christian owns an internet café’ while Victoria owns a dental clinic. Both are residents of Barangay Sambag 2.
TRS investigation showed that a thief or thieves were able to enter first the dental office by climbing on the stairs attached to the water tank.
The burglary was believed to have been carried out around 1 to 3 a.m.
Through the water tank, the suspect stepped on the air-conditioned unit near the comfort room and from there, detached two of the jalousie blades.
After successfully taking them down, the burglar went inside Victoria’s dental clinic and took a wristwatch worth P3,000. The dental forceps worth P300 was not spared.
The suspect also took Christian’s two pairs of rubber shoes worth P2,500 each and a knapsack worth P1,300.
From the dental office, the burglar went down and forcibly opened the door of the internet café owned by Christian by destroying the door’s padlock.
Inside, an undetermined amount of coins were taken from the drawer.
Personnel from the Crime Scene Investigation were dispatched to the area to possibly lift prints. — (FREEMAN)
