Level 2 pusher eludes arrest
CEBU, Philippines - A level two drug pusher eluded operatives of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force who were about to serve a warrant against him in San Remigio last Saturday.
Arman Sinadjan Tipon-Tipon who was urinating outside his house at that time ran away when he saw two vehicles approaching his residence. Upon reaching the subject’s house, the policemen immediately disembarked from the vehicles and ran after Tipon-Tipon, but they did not find him.
Police later recovered 10 packs of shabu in different sizes weighing 7.39 grams from Tipon-Tipon’s residence. When sold, the shabu would reportedly cost P87,202.
Aside from the packs of shabu, police also recovered five hand rolled aluminum foils, two disposable lighters, an improvised totter, two digital weighing scales, an improvised sealer, and a homemade .45 caliber pistol with seven live ammunitions.
The warrant against Tipon-Tipon was issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Soliver Peras last March 2.
Tipon-Tipon was classified as a level 2 pusher because he reportedly sold 200 grams of shabu equivalent to P2.3 million per week in San Remigio and in the neighboring Bogo City and Medellin town.
He was placed under surveillance for a week before authorities applied for a warrant.
PAIDSOTG chief PSupt. Teofilo Siclot said they have been keeping an eye on Tipon-Tipon last year. Tipon-Tipon even allegedly said he will not hesitate to exchange fire with the police if he will be placed in a compromising situation.
“Nibahad man ni nga kung maalanganin siya, makigpinusilay gyud kuno siya,” Siclot said.
Tipon-Tipon has reportedly been the subject of operations of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, National Bureau of Investigation and the Provincial Intelligence Branch, but has always eluded arrest.
Siclot said he is also a gun-for-hire and a member of a robbery-hold up group.
Police will turn over the items recovered from Tipon-Tipon’s house to court today. (FREEMAN NEWS)
