Three hurt in stabbing incidents
CEBU, Philippines - Three men were seriously injured after they figured in separate stabbing incidents in the city over the weekend.
Rolando Bautista, 37, an electrician, had to undergo treatment at the hospital after he was stabbed by an unidentified person in Centro, Alaska, Barangay Mambaling at 2:15 a.m. Sunday.
It appeared in the investigation of the Homicide Section that the victim was attacked while he was walking on his way to a disco in Sitio Viking.
The unidentified assailant allegedly met and stabbed him when he was passing in a dark alley.
After the attack, the victim managed to run away back to his house in Sitio Jai Alai. His live-in-partner, Leonora Labato, took him to the Cebu City Medical Center.
The suspect, on the other hand, disappeared and was nowhere to be found.
Barely 30 minutes later, Junrey Agbay, 25, and Christopher Pia, 35, both laborers in Carbon Market, were stabbed by four unidentified men on Colon St., Barangay Kamagayan.
Homicide Section investigators said both victims just came out from a disco bar on Junquera St. and were walking on their way home when the assailants attacked and started stabbing them then ran away.
Agbay, a resident of Bagong Daan, Yati, Lilo-an town, was wounded in his lower chest while Pia was wounded in his left hand.
Barangay tanods took them to the CCMC for treatment.
Police said they are yet to determine the motive behind both attacks considering that all the assailants are unidentified. (FREEMAN NEWS)
