CEBU, Philippines - The League of Tourism Students of the Philippines will convene in Cebu today for the 3rd LTSP National Convention at the Grand Convention Center.
Randee Nui Valencia, LTSP Cebu Chapter president, said around 700 tourism students are expected to attend the gathering. This year’s convention revolves around the theme, “LTSP, Building Bridges Towards Success.”
Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and Department of Tourism Undersecretary Daniel Corpuz are expected to attend the event. Tourism experts will speak on specific topics.
Rosvi Gaetos, executive director of the Philippine Convention and Visitors Corporation, will speak on MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Convention and Exhibition) and Incentives while Jessica Avila, Cebu’s culinary expert, will speak on Effective Handling of Incentive Travel Groups.
This afternoon, Angel Ramos Bognot, national president of the National Association of Independent Travel Agencies (NAITAS) will speak on Marketing MICE and Incentives Programs in Destinations while Consul Robert Lim Joseph will speak on Opportunities in the MICE Industry.
LTSP is an affiliate of NAITAS, Travel Cooperative of the Philippines (TCP), Tourism Educators and Movers Philippines (TEAM Philippines), and Philippines Wine Merchants (PWM). (FREEMAN)
