PNP official says more than 2 might have been involved

CEBU, Philippines - More than two perpetrators were involved in the abduction and killing of six-year-old Ellah Joy Pique considering the injuries she sustained, said Dr. Nestor Sator of the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory.

The victim also sustained a laceration in her lower right lip and contusion in the right side of her chin aside from the pressure contusions on both her arms and the lacerated wound in her head.

Preliminary autopsy result already showed no signs of laceration in her genitals or any force showing that she was sexually abused.

Sator said that the victim suffered blood chromatic injury due to the lacerated wound in the head and subdural hemorrhage due to skull fracture possibly caused by a hard object.

The victim was allegedly hit by a hard object in her jaw before she was hit in the head as she tried to fight back at her abductors, the official said.

“Basin sige ni’g hilak nangita’g mama unya namaak, possibly gisapok ni siya to control her,” Sator said.

Pique was reported missing on Tuesday. She was found in barangay Guibuangan, Barili town on Wednesday morning and positively identified by her father Reynante Pique.

She was wrapped with a white blanket together with three big rocks and tied with an electrical wire when found by a councilman of the barangay.

Pique was possibly brought and killed inside a house due to the kinds of blankets found in the crime scene.

Two white blankets found have markings Balenciaga Paris and Michiko London (Koshino).

Sator urged laundry shops and laundresses familiar with these kinds of blankets to possibly identify the owner to help the policemen with their investigation.
