CEBU, Philippines - A man landed at the hospital after he was stabbed by his alleged former girlfriend over jealousy shortly past midnight yesterday in Barangay Mabolo.
Arnold Ceniza, 20, a spa therapist and resident of Barangay Kasuntingan, Mandaue City, was allegedly having a drinking with his current girlfriend and her friends on Tres Borces Street when his former lover, Ivy Villanueva, 24, arrived.
PO3 Victor Ruel Ayuman of the Homicide Section, who led the investigation, said Villanueva arrived driving a pick-up and threatened the victim and he and his brother would lose their jobs.
Ceniza and his brother both work as therapists at a spa in Mandaue City.
Ayuman said Villanueva, a resident of Doña Rosario Village in Mandaue City, is a daughter of a businessman.
Ceniza allegedly asked Villanueva if he could take a ride on her vehicle but the latter allegedly suddenly stabbed him using a Swiss knife.
Responding personnel of the Mobile Patrol Group rushed the victim to the Cebu City Medical Center while the suspect immediately fled.
Ayuman said Villanueva later resurfaced and agreed to settle the matters amicably with Ceniza. She shouldered the hospital bills of the victim who was treated as an out-patient. – (FREEMAN)
