Drug pusher nabbed in Danao
CEBU, Philippines - An alleged notorious drug pusher in Danao City was arrested during a raid in Barangay Maslog Wednesday night.
An estimated of P30,000 worth of illegal drugs contained in 89 plastic packs were seized by the members of the Danao City Police from the house of Alvin Labador.
Labador, 43, was caught in possession of four packs of shabu when the police swooped down his house at Sitio Mahayahay Cogon on the strength of a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Marilyn Yap in Mandaue City.
During the search 85 more packs of shabu and drug paraphernalia were recovered by the members of the raiding team.
Police investigator Allan Muñoz said that Labador is one of the notorious pushers in Maslog.
“He was not permanently selling unya dili sad ingon dinagko jud,” he said.
According to Muñoz, they monitored Labador’s activities since last year after receiving information about his illegal transactions.
Charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against Labador within the week before the Danao City Prosecutor’s Office.
This is the second successful anti-drug operation in Danao City with this week. Early on, alleged drug queen Florita Peñas was also arrested by the members of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (PAIDSOTG) for possession of several packs of shabu.
Peñas was arrested inside her residence in Barangay Sabang. She was tagged as a level 2 pusher who can dispose 200 grams of illegal drugs every week. (FREEMAN)
