- Joey Cindy M. Semblante -

CEBU, Philippines - A youngster believed to be a member of Crips gang was arrested yesterday for holding an unregistered .22 caliber in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City last Tuesday.

A police team led by SPO2 Maximo Lapa and some civilian agents were patrolling V. Rama Ext. when they saw a group of men they believe to be Crips Gang members.

When they approached, the men ran but they were able to catch one Orly Guasin Jacaban, 20, of Sitio Lower Kalunasan, Cebu City.

Jacaban had with him a .22 revolver with live ammunition. He was taken to the Cebu City Police Office holding cell.

In another incident also in Guadalupe, two children were electrocuted while sitting outside their house at around 10:30 a.m. last Tuesday.

Wenright Tabasa, 13, and one-year-old Sam Louis Tabasa, are living near the Circus area in Guadalupe and were electrocuted when they touched a metal.

Both were rushed to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for treatment but later transferred to Cebu Doctors Hospital.

Wenright is out of critical condition while Sam remains in the intensive care unit.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Tisa, three men were stabbed inside a videoke bar around one a.m. last Tuesday.

Pablito Magno, Marcelino Macasieb and Erneto Herno, all natives of Luzon and stay-in workers in Tisa, were drinking inside the F and B Videoke Karaoke Bar at Katipunan St. before the incident.

When they were about to go home, a group of men from the other table stabbed them without apparent reason and fled.

Magno sustained a stab wound on the left side of his stomach, while Macasieb was stabbed in his right arm. Herno had several wounds in the different parts of the body. — THE FREEMAN
