CEBU, Philippines - A man was killed last Saturday evening by the person he was drinking with at Purok Ube, Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City.
Roy Daguman, 43, sustained a single stab wound on the left portion of his chest. He died immediately.
Armando Holmero, a native of Guihulngan, Negros Oriental and currently residing in Gun-ob, allegedly stabbed Daguman with a knife after an argument.
Lapu-Lapu Police Homicide Investigator SPO2 Rolito Jumao-as told The FREEMAN that Daguman and Holmero were playing cards while under the influence of liquor near their houses.
In the middle of their card game, the two argued and Holmero got hold of a knife and stabbed Daguman.
The victim was rushed by his relatives to the Lapu-Lapu District Hospital where he was declared already dead.
Jumao-as added that the incident was caused by misunderstanding between the two neighbors.
“Mag silingan ra ang duha, nag bikil ra gyud sila sa istorya,” said Jumao-as.
According to Jumao-as, they immediately conducted a follow-up operation to look for the suspect. But Holmero is still at large.
The investigators will soon be filing a case against Holmero and move for the issuance of an arrest warrant against him. (FREEMAN)
