CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City Health Department has sent its anti-dengue campaign to the barangay level irrespective of the decrease in the number of cases in the past weeks.
City Health Officer Dr. Rodulfo Berame said Mayor Paz Radaza has directed him to continue to inform people about dengue and to set up measures to prevent its spread.
Berame said his office also coordinates with school principals, supervisors, and the parent-teacher associations.
The city council supports this program Berame's office has initiated.
Next year's annual budget, P2.5 million will be spent for the purchase of medicine to fight dengue. — THE FREEMAN
