Villarete: Business as usual at Mactan airport

CEBU, Philippines - Newly-elected officials of barangay Tayud in Consolacion town, barangay health workers, tanods, and residents will join in today's cleanup in a bid to stop the spread of dengue.

Barangay Tayud captain Bingol Villo announced the clean-up yesterday during the inaugural session of the members of the barangay council.

Villo issued a memorandum requesting barangay officials, barangay health workers, sangguniang kabataan members, tanods and the residents to help in today's cleanup.

Villo said the clean-up will start in front of the barangay hall up to the Cansaga bridge.

The barangay captain said Tayud serves as a show window for those passing the Cansaga North Coastal Bridge.

"Kinahanglan gayud nga muhimo kita ug halapad nga pagpanglimpyo sa palibot sa atong barangay," said Villo.

The cleanup in the barangay is one of the activities being lined up by Villo.

Villo, a former member of the Sangguniang Bayan of Consolacion, one way of fighting dengue is cleaning the surroundings. (FREEMAN)
