Badana: I did not see Ylanan at crime scene
CEBU, Philippines – The mother of the suspected robber, Ron-Ron Go, who was allegedly killed by SPO1 Adonis Dumpit six years ago in Villagonzalo II, Barangay Tejero yesterday refuted the earlier statement of Cebu City Police Office Investigation and Detective Management Branch chief George Ylanan that her son was killed in a shootout.
Janeth Badana said Ylanan was lying when he testified in court that he was at the crime scene.
During the hearing of the murder case against Dumpit at the Regional Trial Court Branch 6 on Tuesday, the defense presented the Investigation and Detective Management Branch head as a witness.
Ylanan testified contrary to the statement of NBI agent Arnel Pura, who said that there was no shootout that happened.
He said he was there in the area before and after the incident and even heard five to six gunshots which proved that there was a shootout Dumpit and Go.
Ylanan said he also saw Go's mother, Janeth Badana, at the scene.
However, Badana said yesterday that she was at the scene but did not see Ylanan as what he has been claiming.
In an interview with The FREEMAN, Janeth Badana said she is happy that the murder case she filed against Dumpit is finally heard in court this year.
But she added that she will not stop until justice is served for her son.
"I am seeking for justice for my son's death as my Christmas wish," Badana said.
She added she will not issue further comment on the statement of Ylanan since all of the evidences are already in court and it is up to it to resolve the case.
Earlier, Dumpit also said that his Christmas wish is for his motion to bail to be granted. He also added that he is optimistic that his case will be dismissed as it was a job-related incident. (FREEMAN)
