Mishap ties up traffic at south coastal road

CEBU, Philippines – A vehicular accident involving an SUB and a motorcycle choked up traffic for more than an hour yesterday morning at the Cebu South Coastal Road, barangay San Roque, Talisay City.

PO3 Amelito Hornales of the Talisay Traffic Division said a motorcycle (3094-GK) driven by Errol Roland Ebora, 22, of barangay Dumlog, Talisay City rammed a stranded Toyota Fortuner.

The impact dented the sports utility vehicle's bumper and broke its left tail light. It was driven by Roland Tenedro, 36, of Corona Del Mar Subdivision, barangay Pooc of the same city.

Ebora's motorcycle also came into contact with another car but caused no damage to it.

He was taken to the Talisay City District Hospital in barangay San Isidro for bruises.

The traffic division said Ebora and Tenedro were going to Cebu City. Ebora, driving with a smaller vehicle, allegedly tried to weave his way through bigger vehicles and that due to his speed, he reportedly lost control and hit Tenedro's SUV. (FREEMAN)
