2 bodies found

CEBU, Philippines – A young man was found dead with a hacked wound on his head and face yesterday afternoon in Barangay Pitalo, San Fernando town.

Also, an 82-year-old man was found lifeless in a sugarcane field in the northern Cebu town of Medellin yesterday morning.

In the Pitalo incident, the victim was estimated to be about 18 to 25 years old. He was believed to have been killed in another place and was thrown in the forested area in Barangay Pitalo where he was discovered.

Not one of the residents in Pitalo could identify the body.

In Sitio Socorro, Barangay Luya, Medellin, the body of an 82-year-old man who has been missing for a month now was found in the middle of a sugarcane field.

PO3 Pacquito Son told The FREEMAN that the body of Vicente Serafin was already decomposed when found by Manolo Pradilla, 57 and his 12-year-old grandson. Marcelina Serafin, wife of Vicente, his husband never told them where he was heading so they did not know where to look for him. They think that Vicente may have been upset because they talked about the barangay elections and took different sides.
