CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu-Negros-Panay Grid will have an additional 82- megawatt power capacity early next month.
This after the Cebu Energy Development Corporation announced the scheduled synchronization of its third unit into the grid by December 10.
CEDC president Jesus Alcordo said the third unit has a net capacity of 82 megawatts.
Alcordo however explained that it will still be for testing and commissioning, which means the total net capacity might not be fully synchronize to the grid yet.
CEDC’s two other units were already available for commercial operations providing a combined capacity of 164 megawatts.
CEDC is operating a clean-coal power plant in Toledo City. It is owned by Global Formosa and Abovant. — THE FREEMAN
