CEBU, Philippines – A man drowned while swimming at a beach resort in barangay Tongo, Lapu-Lapu City Sunday.
Teofilo Cabigas, 39, married, and a resident of barangay Tisa, Cebu City went to the resort for a picnic with his family that day.
Police said it was low tide when Cabigas who had just finished his lunch decided to go for a swim.
His body was found floating a few minutes later.
He did not reach the hospital alive.
SPO2 Rolito Jumaoas of the Homicide section has theorized Cabigas must have hit his head on a hard object and lost consciousness when he dove into the water. (FREEMAN)
