CEBU, Philippines – Four people were wounded in separate stabbing and shooting incidents in Lapu-Lapu City Sunday evening.
Lapu-Lapu police investigators identified the victims as Raymart Cona, 19, single, of Babag 1, John Philip Amodia, 25, of sitio Buyong, Maribago, Brayn Caberte,19, of Pajo, and Roly Gibo, of Danao City, all of Lapu-Lapu City.
Lapu-Lapu Police Crime Against Persons investigator SPO2 Rolito Jumaoas who is on the case said the suspects are still at large.
Cona and three other companions were walking at the public plaza in barangay Poblacion when one of from a group of four persons attacked him with a knife.
Cona who sustained a stab wound on the right side of his stomach was rushed to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital. He was transferred later to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
The attacker and three companions fled on foot after the incident.
Amodia, on the other hand, was stabbed on the stomach by an uncle who was allegedly under the influence of liquor at that time.
The uncle allegedly fled after the crime was committed.
Caberte was standing in front of their house in sitio Camanse in barangay Pajo when shot by a certain Marjo.
Marjo accompanied by two other companions fled after the incident.
Meanwhile, Gibo, who works for the firm Taiyo-Yuden inside the Mactan Export Processing Zone was standing in front of a store in barangay Gunob when an unknown person attacked him with a knife, hitting him on the left arm and was taken to the Mactan Doctors' Hospital.
Gibo's assailant fled after the incident. (FREEMAN)
