CEBU, Philippines – A woman, who was said to be a lesbian, was found dead inside her room in Sitio Sto. Niño, Barangay Kamagayan at past 7 a.m. yesterday.
Ashell Abao, alias Jing-Jing, of legal age, was found hanging lifeless with a towel tied around her neck. The other end of the towel was tied on the beam of the door.
A 13-year-old boy discovered her body and Barangay Captain Mansueto Avila was the first to respond in the scene.
Policemen found a suicide note on the wooden wall of Abao's rented room.
The note, which was written with the use of a red manicure, read: "Mahal na mahal kita. Isusumpa kita hindi kita iiwan tandaan mo 'yan, mahal kita. Niloko mo ako."
According to the boy and one Roger Godinez, 38, the victim was depressed and was frequently drunk.
Her live-in friend whom they knew only as "Chin-Chin" allegedly left her. This woman was believed to be the one being referred to by the victim in her suicide note.
The police found no signs of struggle that would suggest foul play.
Her body was taken to St. Francis Funeral Homes for post mortem examination. (FREEMAN)
